Our statement as to the purpose of the BQ ministry is below along with links to resources, additional info, and UPCI info on BQ that we also adopt and stand by. 

The main goal of the Atascocita Bible Quizzing ministry is to encourage

young people to spend time in the Word in order to further develop their individual relationship with God and promote the growth of Apostolic character in each quizzer. As the apostle Paul wrote to Timothy, “The holy scriptures... are able to make thee wise unto salvation through the faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (2Timothy 3:15-17)

The Atascocita Quizzing Ministry, through Apostolic Bible Quizzing, serves several purposes, as outlined below:

1.   The ultimate and most important purpose of Bible Quizzing is that quizzers learn the Word of God.

2.   Quizzing teaches quizzers to respect their friends, peers, and spiritual leaders.

3.   Quizzing teaches quizzers how to develop personal discipline in their study habits. These study habits enhance not only their spiritual study of the Scripture, but also their academic studies.

4.   Quizzing teaches quizzers how to develop effective time management skills and strategies.

5.   Quizzing teaches quizzers how to work productively with others as a team with the purpose of achieving a common goal.

6.   Quizzing exercises quizzers’ memory skills.

7.   Quizzing allows quizzers to develop their character, and it allows the fruit of the Spirit to grow in their lives.

8.   Quizzing affords quizzers with travel opportunities they otherwise may not have experienced.

9.   Quizzing promotes healthy and godly friendships and fellowship opportunities in a competitive, but godly, atmosphere.

So far in 2026, our quizzers have participated in approximately 7 tournaments, some district, others on a National level. We have consistently been able to maintain 1st-4th place in our district tournaments despite this being our most challenging season ever!
